Twitter Now Automatically Shortens Links
Twitter has announced the launch of a built-in URL shortener that will reduce the length of all tweeted links to 19 characters but still will allow users’ followers to see where the links will send them. The t.co-based service will not provide users with analytics about their links, but that probably offers little consolation for developers of third-party URL shorteners, Alexia Tsotsis writes.
